Srila Prabhupada, due to his kind grace to the people of Lucknow and nearby residents, founded a math at Lucknow in the year 1935 at a rented house at Sunderbag. Divinely beautiful Deities, Sri Gaur Radha Govinda jiu worshipped there were endowed with life . In the year 1940 the Math was shifted from Sunderbag to Aryanagar, and from there for 31 years the devotional practice and preaching activities of philosophy of Sriman Mahaprabhu were being conducted.

the Foundation Stone of the Temple was being laid on 1st December, 1966 by the Lotus Hands of Srimad Bhakti Keval Audulomi Maharaj.
In the year 1967 the construction of the temple was duly completed and the temple was inaugurated by Srimad Bhakti Srirup Bhagabat Goswami Maharaj, the then secretary of the Mission, amidst huge gathering of devotees singing Harinam Samkirtan.
Recently Sri Jagannath ,Baladev and Suvadra ji made their auspicious appearance at the said temple in the year 2003.
